THE ANNUAL CALENDAR OF WEEKS starts on the Sunday of any week in which January 1 falls. Example: The first two week group (A) for the year 2005 starts on Sunday, December 26, 2004 at 3:00 pm and ends on Sunday, January 9, 2005 at noon. The last two week group (E) for the year 2005 starts on Sunday, December 11, 2005 at 3:00 pm and ends on Sunday, January 1, 2006 at noon. The first two week group (A) always has January 1 in the first week and the last two week group (E) always has December 25 in it. The last group (number 26) will have three weeks in it every five to six years. Example years: 2005, 2011, 2016, 2022, and 2028 will have three weeks in the last group (E).
